They Were Just Waiting for the Bus

At the time of writing this, two hours have passed since two Israelis were brutally murdered in a terror attack close to Givat Asaf and not far from Bethel. Two others are fighting for their lives after being shot and wounded. This follows another attack at Ofra on Sunday evening where a pregnant mother barely survived, but her unborn baby which was taken by C-section, died on Thursday. Many others were wounded.
The latest weeks have witnessed a rise in attacks - even though the huge majority of attacks are thwarted. Israelis are facing a tough reality, a barbaric and merciless enemy that knows no moral limitations. Please pray - for the wounded, the bereaved, and for all of Israel.
And say something good about Israel!

They Were Just Waiting for the Bus
Those bus stops, or “trampiada” as Israelis call them since they also serve as pick up places for hitch-hikers, are packed with people at exactly the same hours every day, morning and afternoon. The terrorist must have passed them daily – an easy target. They are surrounded by large concrete slabs or buffers of steel to prevent the car terrorism that just rams down whoever stands along the road – as long has he or she is Jewish.
They were just waiting for the bus!
He stopped the car and exited, gun ready. He spread his bullets indiscriminately into the crowd, murdering two, sending two into life threatening condition, and wounding others. He hurried back to the car and sped away.

Hamas praised this as heroism – no one expects anything else. Our vocabulary lacks words to describe how sick such behavior is. This is how Hamas celebrates their birthday, December 14, every year; they murder Jews.

Also Fatah – whose leader is Mahmoud Abbas, Europe’s champion of moderation – praised the terror. Repeating: Europe’s hope, Mahmoud Abbas praised the murdering of Jews – and he will now offer money to the terrorist’s family. He cannot calculate how much yet, because if the two now fighting for their lives in Israeli hospitals, die – the payment increases! There is no vocabulary invented to describe how sick such behavior is.

Under European pressure, Israel eases measures that prevent terror – or more correctly, measures that save life – such as road blocks. This road was re-opened to Palestinian Arabs due to such pressure. But will European governments take any responsibility; will they have anything to say to the families of the bereaved? Or is this, in their view, just the price Israel has to pay? There is a vocabulary invented to describe Europe’s behavior; disgusting, hypocritical, and merciless.

In Israel, they mourn the dead while they hunt the deplorable beings that did this. They, as we, are unable to grasp the bottomless hatred and beastly wickedness that drive these terrorists. But they are determined; they have returned to their homeland to remain.
They will continue to wait for the bus!
